WEB 28 is a sodium salt designed for use as an efficient metal precipitant. WEB 28 is intended to complement WEB 28 metal precipitant. WEB 28 provides more cost effective removal of some selected heavy metals from waste streams when compared to other precipitants. WEB 28 provides an alternative product that is less toxic to aquatic species. In addition, the volume and weight of sludge per unit of metal is substantially less than alternative products. This benefit allows for substantial savings in sludge disposal costs. WEB 28 is effective in the removal of complexed chelated metals, and can also be used to recover expensive metals.
