Copper Inhibited, Non-Ferrous Rolling/Drawing Lubricant

Solcast-Cu was developed to meet the requirements of the Aluminum and Copper wire drawing industries. When emulsified, Solcast-Cu provides the proper balance of lubricity and hard water stability without production of excessive soaps. Solcast-Cu was formulated for extended life with minimum sump side maintenance.

Solcast-Cu is diluted into water and flooded onto the work area to effectively remove heat and provide the proper amount of lubricity which will allow for extended tool life while achieving maximum production speeds without roll slippage, surface texturing, or die wear. By varying the concentration, Solcast-Cu can be used in Continuous Casting, Wire Drawing, and Quench operations.

Dilute the neat Solcast-Cu into water rather than water into neat product. Solcast-Cu will have a 1:1 refractometer reading when the system is fresh, (an acid split is recommended for aged systems.) Concentration is dependent upon the operation and desired parameters but usually is maintained between 2-20 %.
