Heavy-Duty, Soluble-Oil Metalworking Coolant
DESCRIPTION MasterCut 157 is a heavily fortified soluble-oil metalworking fluid formulated with a unique extreme pressure (EP), additive package. MasterCut 157 performs exceptionally well in operations which require the heat dissipating characteristics of an aqueous metalworking fluid and the enhanced lubrication properties of straight oil-during aggressive chip removal. MasterCut 157 is successfully machining both ferrous and non-ferrous metals in a variety of machining applications.APPLICATION MasterCut 157 is diluted into water and flooded into the work area to effectively remove heat, chips and/or swarf, while providing superior lubricant and anti-weld characteristics to impart long tool life and good surface quality.BENEFITS EXCELLENT RUST PROTECTION MasterCut 157 leaves an oily barrier film on the work piece which is easily removed. The corrosion resistant properties of MasterCut 157 allow for use in low-concentration grinding applicationsENHANCED TOOL LIFE MasterCut 157 is fortified with a proven EP package resulting in extended tool life and higher surface quality. Our "MasterCool Series" of semi-synthetic metalworking fluid is available for heavy to medium duty machining applications and grinding. For those applications requiring a synthetic fluid, try our "SynCool Series" of petroleum oil free metalworking fluids.LOW FOAMING MasterCut 157 possesses a natural, low-foaming chemistry which we enhance with a non-silicon anti-foam additive package. This addition allows for foam protection in more turbulent applications and for short term in-house corrosion protection between operations.TANK STABILITY MasterCut 157 is both bio-stable and hard water stable. Minimum sump maintenance is required but preventative measures are recommended for extended fluid life. MIXING INSTRUCTIONS Consult your representative for assistance in determining your application requirements if necessary. Dilute the neat MasterCut 157 into water, (not water into MasterCut 157), to the suggested ratio for the operation. Concentration of MasterCut 157 is easily determined by optical refractometer when fluids are relatively new. Older solutions become more difficult to read by refractometer as the particle size of the emulsion enlarges. At this point, concentration by "acid split" is recommended.
